How To Measure the Volume of a LIquid Using A Graduated Cylinder

  1. I would like to choose this video because the explanation is clear. The teacher explains by using standard measurement to measure the volume of liquid. By using standard measurements, we can measure the volume of liquid accurately.
The description of the measurement process using standard measurement tools is as below:
    (i) These are graduated cylinders and graduated cylinders come in different sizes
depending on how much volume of the liquids you are trying to measure.
(ii) Therefore, we can use measuring cylinders to measure the volume of liquids or
    irregular shape objects.
(iii) Let us begin using this medium-sized graduated cylinders and it was marked up to
    100 milliliters.
(iv) Make sure, when you are measuring liquids, your graduated cylinders is on a flat surface.
    (v) Take your liquid and pour the liquid into your graduated cylinder to the desired
    amount that you need.
vi) To check the measurement results, you look at the curve. Moreover, because liquid
forms a curve inside the graduated cylinders, you would want to read below the curved
line. The curved line is called the meniscus and the measurement is read from the
    bottom of it.
(vii) For instance, if we want to measure 60 milliliters, the bottom of the curve should hit
the 60 milliliters mark line. This is how you measure the volume of a liquid.
